This page is an outline. Confirm it against the finished site before launch, and update it if any third-party tool is added.

What the finished page must cover

  • Analytics: the site uses Ahrefs Web Analytics, which is cookieless and collects no personal data.
  • Google Tag Manager is installed on every page. Tag Manager itself sets no cookies, but the tags published through it can. Before any tag that sets cookies or tracks individuals goes live (for example Google Analytics, Google Ads or other advertising pixels), the site needs a consent banner that blocks those tags until the visitor agrees, and this page must list each one. Take particular care with advertising pixels: the ICO has warned that tracking on sensitive sites can reveal things about people, and visiting a debt help site is sensitive.
  • Browser storage used by the enquiry form: your answers are saved in your browser’s local storage as you go, so you can come back to them, and cleared when you send the form or press “Start again”. A short-lived session reference is kept in session storage. Consent boxes are never saved.
  • How to clear it: through your browser settings.
