Terms of use
The terms that apply when you use this website and its enquiry form.
This page is an outline. It lists what the finished terms must cover. It has not been drafted or reviewed and must be replaced before the site goes live.
What the finished terms must cover
- Who we are and how to contact us.
- What the service is: an information website and an enquiry service. We do not give debt advice, we do not arrange trust deeds, and we are not a debt charity or a government body.
- What happens to an enquiry: passed to the named insolvency practitioner firm only with your consent. We never charge you.
- How we are paid: a plain statement of any payment we receive from partner firms, consistent with the Insolvency Code of Ethics and SIP 3.3. This must be settled with a compliance professional before launch.
- Information on the site: general information about Scots law, checked on the date shown on each page, not advice about your circumstances.
- Links to other websites, including the free advice services.
- Governing law: Scots law and the Scottish courts.
